Report-level settings in Looker Studio

In the post about page actions, we discussed how filters can be applied either at the page level or at the report level. When a filter is applied at the report level, it will affect all the components of your report, not just a specific page.

To apply a filter at the report level, you need to go to FileReport Settings, and under Filter on this report, you’ll have the option to add a filter.

As shown in the image above, you can also set a default time period for all pages in the report under Report Settings. To do this, select Custom under Default date range and choose the date ranges you want. If you’d like to read more about selecting a time period for your charts in Looker Studio, you can do so in the post about the date range control.

What do you think of this tip for applying a filter to all pages in your Looker Studio report?
